WEEKLY COMMUNITY HOURS
March-August
Wednesdays: 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Saturdays: 9:00am – 10:30am
SEPTEMBER
Wednesdays: 5:00pm – 6:30pm

OCTOBER
Wednesdays: 4:30pm – 6:00pm
Saturdays: 9:00am – 10:30am
Our regular 2023 garden volunteer hours take place at the Commons Garden on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. You don’t need any special skills or knowledge to volunteer in the garden, and tasks vary from week to week throughout the growing season. Just bring yourself in weather-appropriate clothes and join us to connect with food, soil, and each other!
Our evening hours move steadily earlier in the late summer and fall as our hours of daylight get shorter and shorter.
While the garden is always open and you can just stop by during volunteer hours, we kindly request that you sign up in advance if possible. This helps us track our volunteer contributions each year, and lets us prepare for how many folks we’ll have each day.
CORPORATE, SCHOOL, AND CIVIC GROUPS
We often host larger groups during their own time in the garden. If you’re part of a group that would like to set up a specific time or volunteer activity in our garden, please email us at info@thegrowingproject.org.
NON-GARDEN VOLUNTEERING
We are grateful to have received a variety of in-kind donations in the form of creative, logistical, technical, and similar skills over the years. If you would like to offer the gift of your time outside of our growing spaces and/or normal volunteer offerings, please email us at info@thegrowingproject.org.
